Barbell for Boobs

Join us on Saturday, October 30th at 2pm for the Barbells for Boobs “Amazing Grace” fundraiser to benefit Mammograms in Action, a non-profit organization that provides funding for qualified women who need screening and/or diagnostic procedures in the prevention of breast cancer. Our goal is to help low-income and uninsured women receive vital care. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Mammograms in Action. Got boobs? or just LOVE boobs? Choose Individual registration and in the Additional Information section select “Brickhouse Crossfit” as your “CrossFit Affiliate”.

What is “Amazing Grace”? Many Crossfit workouts have names and this fundraiser centers around the one called “Grace” – 30 Clean and Jerks for time. Men typically use 135 lbs, women 95 lbs. During the Amazing Grace fundraiser, we will modify the weight to accommodate the physical abilities of any participant. If you can lift a piece of plastic PVC pipe over your head, then you can do this workout. We’ll teach you the rest on site, the day of the event.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. IF YOU CAN LIFT A PIECE OF PLASTIC PVC PIPE ABOVE YOUR HEAD, THEN COME ON DOWN. WE’LL TEACH YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW.

  • Yeah, this was one of those workouts that doesn’t look to bad on the board. Didn’t feel that way after the 1st round.
