What's worse? .... Wall ball or Burpees?

  • I vote burpees are worse if that’s the only exercise in the wod. But it’s all about the context. Throw thrusters and running on either side of wall ball, and I would definitely reconsider (ouch).

  • Jake’s got a good point about context. Burpees are slightly worse on their own, but wall balls in conjunction with box jumps…(shudder).

  • At the conjunction of life and death are burpees. They are worse. But I’m with Daron and Jake on what they are paired (or tripled or quadrupled) with.

  • I cannot imagine a more painful move than wallballs. A set of wallballs feels like I just went 12 rounds with Joe Frazier.

  • To me wall balls are worse.  They require coordination, whereas burpees you can flop through when tired.

    Thrusters are the worst movement period!

  • ya know, we could just settle this discussion by ALOT of BOTH of them…do a little comparison testing…who’s game???…

  • Wall ball, by far, is the worst exercise known to man.  Some of the context issues are valid … thanks for the ideas!

  • You can’t get blasted in the face with a 14lb ball when you’re doing burpees.  Not usually at least.

    JLo’s post does bring to mind some funny visuals though. And people might complain about regular burpees less if an alternative is “wall-ball-face-blast” burpees!

  • As a short person who wears glasses (note JLo’s post), I am definitely voting wall balls as the worst!
