Choices

60 Day Challenge - Day 14  It's not too late to buy in!!

How was your holiday weekend?  Did you let it all go(regarding nutrition and exercise), or did you keep things in check?  And how did you feel the day(s) afterwards?  Was it worth it?

This is not a test - there is not correct answer.  This is just a question to raise your awareness of your life and body.  If it was worth it then savor it.  If it left a negative mark, remember that mark the next time.  Life is full of choices.  No matter your choices, you need to "own" the consequences.

  • Thrusters: 175# (PR - could have probably hit 195# but I couldn’t clean it this morning!)
    WOD Rx: 6:03

  • First day doing thrusters.  What a great workout!

Still sticking (sometimes grudgingly) to the 60-day challenge.  Trying slowly to undo nearly a lifetime of poor eating habits.  I’m trying to make small changes every day.  This year, we had a simple Thanksgiving: Pork loin w/ mustard, rosemary, honey, salt & pepper, wrapped in bacon (pork wrapped in pork!); steamed broccoli, apple-pecan-grape-raisin salad (like waldorf salad, but undressed); roasted baby potatoes (golds, red bliss, purples).  It was nice, and refreshing to not be totally stuffed at the end of the day.  We had room for baked stuffed apples (apples, pecans, craisins, maple syrup & apple cider).  I know that I have a long way to go/come with my nutrition, but I felt so much better about this holiday meal than I have in just about any other.

Thanks for opening my eyes, and motivating me to make those small changes!

  • Great job Kinsey! Beware of the thrusters tomorrow…

1 rep max thruster 80lbs (PR on my clean actually 80lbs- felt great, a few weeks ago I was proud of 70!)

    WOD time 6:04 (S/U and 65#)

  • Kinsey, great work, keep it up!

  • I need to work on technique- only got to 145# because I am so slow, but WOD at 115# in 6:48.

Didn’t feel too bad today after a 5 day break. I guess that active recovery (hunting) really works!
