This email was a huge help to me!
I had never given my posture much attention.
I've always been teased for strutting and joked that I needed good posture because
I didn't have any height to spare. I just took it for granted that I was standing up tall and straight.
Turns out I was wrong.
After some very careful self evaluation (checking myself out in the mirror after a sick swole sesh... bro),
I notice that while standing at rest, my posture had two unmistakeable flaws.
I had severely internally rotated shoulders and a slight anterior pelvic tilt.
I did my research on stretches and the like to correct the issues, and
have made a considerable amount of progress toward correcting them.
Sadly, due to a recent move and the amount of travel required for my new job,
progress has been slow, and
I haven't been able to WOD enough to see an impact on any of my lift numbers.
Moral of the story, this email pointed me in a new direction toward becoming a
better athlete (and sexier).
Its been two years since I've stepped foot into CFBB, and
you guys are still helping me grow.
